About Me

Dr. Cottingham received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and completed his residency training at Methodist Hospital which is affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine. Prior to entering medical school Dr. Cottingham became interested in preventive medicine and healthy lifestyles while doing graduate work in human fitness and performance at the University of Houston. While doing research in the prevention of infectious disease at Shriners Burns Hospital in Galveston, Dr. Cottingham developed an interest in plastic surgery. This interest in plastics, healthy lifestyles, and disease prevention was pursued while a resident at Methodist Hospital with elective training and rotations in plastic surgery and sports medicine.
